Old hospital

OLD HOSPITAL

The first hospital came into being in the Middle Ages. The exact date of its foundation is not known. We have only some information that till 1821 three was a lazaret in Pyskowice but because of the risk of structural collapse, it was taken apart. The building, on which there is a plaque, was given back to use on 15 August 1910. The hospital was built for the amount of 100 000 marks. The Sisters of Mercy took care of the sick and elderly people. Beside the hospital there was so called 'infectious barrack' (today's Emergency Ambulance Service). The new building for the hospital was built in 1975.
